THE SMALL PRINT. STILL HUMAN.

PRIVACY &
EMAIL UPDATES.

What we collect

When you vote, Wich Chip stores your current answer to each question under a random browser identifier in a secure cookie. We do not ask for your name to vote. Basic abuse prevention uses a one-way, secret signature derived from network information; the original address is not stored in the community tables.

When you join the Crunch Club, we store your normalized email address, subscription status, consent version, and signup date. We do not sell the list.

Optional analytics

If you opt in through Analytics Preferences, the site counts selected engagement events once per browser per day. Those records use the same random browser identifier and do not include your email address. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable this optional collection.

The original Facebook conversation

The homepage links to the original 2019 Facebook post. Following the link connects you to Facebook, which applies its own privacy settings and may require sign-in.

If you allow our optional analytics, original-post clicks, voting calls to action, pairing exploration, and share actions are counted once per browser per day. Native-share completion records the handoff to your device’s sharing system, not confirmed delivery to another person. Copying a link is counted separately. We do not collect who you share with.

Managing email

After signup, the site gives you a private preferences link. Save it to unsubscribe or rejoin. Wich Chip uses Resend for consent-based welcome, survey thank-you and product emails. Delivery records include the recipient, template, timestamps and provider status. Survey answers are associated with your subscription only when you explicitly opt in after completing the survey. Voting alone does not subscribe you. Unsubscribing retains your recorded votes.

Community submissions and prototype interest

If you share a sandwich, we store the description and any optional display name, social handle or public post link you provide, along with your public-display choice and submission date. Submissions are reviewed by the owner. Nothing appears publicly before approval, and approval is permitted only if you opted into public display. We do not upload or copy media from your social post.

If you express interest in testing, we store your name, email, general location, testing interest, optional note and permission to contact you about testing. These details remain private to the owner. Registration does not guarantee samples or testing participation and does not add you to marketing emails. Newsletter consent is a separate choice.

Community forms use the same secure random browser cookie for submission retries and abuse prevention. Failure records contain a category and date, without your submitted text or contact details. Website sharing sends a public page link through your selected service; we do not receive your recipient list.

To ask for correction, deletion or removal of a featured submission, contact hello@wichchip.com and identify the submission. Participation records are retained while we evaluate community and testing interest or until removed through owner review.

Retention and questions

Poll responses and signup records are retained while Wich Chip evaluates product interest, unless they are removed during routine data management. Use the preferences page to unsubscribe. Contact hello@wichchip.com for email questions. Bounce or complaint events may suppress an address from future sending.

Effective October 12, 2026. Subscriber campaign emails include the business mailing address and an unsubscribe link.
